About Attorney
LaKisha Ledbetter-Anderson
After achieving her lifelong dream of becoming an attorney, LaKisha Ledbetter-Anderson originally envisioned a career in civil rights law. But her relocation from Kansas City, Missouri to Houston, Texas opened the door to new opportunities and a broader legal focus. In 2007, she founded Ledbetter Anderson & Associates, LLC with a clear mission: to help individuals and families secure the brighter futures they deserve.
A graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law (J.D., 2007) and Dillard University (B.A., 2004), LaKisha brings nearly two decades of legal experience and a lifelong passion for justice to every client conversation. Her practice focuses on estate planning, probate, and criminal expunctions—areas where her thoughtful, litigation-informed counsel has made a lasting impact on clients’ lives.
LaKisha’s approach is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: legal guidance should be clear, personal, and strategic—not overwhelming. Her clients aren’t routed through call centers or layers of staff. They get direct access, honest answers, and steady guidance from an attorney who listens as closely as she leads.
Whether you’re preparing a will, managing a probate case, or seeking a fresh start after a criminal charge, LaKisha offers more than legal documents—she offers clarity, respect, and advocacy that feels human. When the legal process feels overwhelming, she helps clients see what’s next—and face it with confidence.
“My job is to outline your options so you can confidently make an informed decision.”
LaKisha is licensed in both Texas and Missouri. While she is based in Houston, she continues to represent clients from the Kansas City area and proudly serves individuals and families across both states. She is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and several sections of the State Bar of Texas, including Real Estate, Probate & Trust, Family Law, and African American Lawyers.
